Are you fixing the 10% or the 90% of what’s affecting your longevity?

Dear Longevity Vault Reader:

20 years ago, I started where many of our community members start: trying to optimize health by collecting other people’s best practices.

I kept meticulous notes, tracked workouts/nutrients, took supplements, read late-night threads on PaleoHacks. Back then, information was scarce—Facebook was just a social network for universities and LinkedIn was just for résumés.

I was doing everything I could find. Yet I’d still have brain fog, 3 AM wakeups, and energy crashes by 3 PM. I was following all the advice—so why did results feel unpredictable?

What took me years to realize: the answer wasn’t doing more things. It was that I was following someone else’s map. Universal advice (“do X to improve sleep”) gave me universal—and mediocre—results. It wasn’t working because it wasn’t based on my context, my biology.

This realization is the foundation of the Longevity Vault.

My goal isn’t to give you more information. It’s to help you build your personalized longevity roadmap.

So, what is personalization?

Let me show you what I mean.

The common advice is blue light blockers improve sleep. And it’s not wrong—blue light does affect melatonin production at night.

So why hasn’t wearing blue blockers solved your sleep issues for good?

If your issue isn’t caused by evening blue light’s impacts on melatonin, wearing those glasses is a bit like fixing the tire valve (a 10% fix) when you also have a flat tire (the 90% contributor to your sleep troubles).

A personalized solution finds YOUR 90%.

A personalized approach stops you from spending most of your effort on fixing the tire valve and helps you find the flat tire.

That’s the difference between incremental, occasional improvement vs. solving the problem.

Here’s how you can get started:

This is the point where most platforms send a ‘Top 5 Tips’ PDF. I won’t do that—it’s just more universal advice.

Instead, I want to help you take the next meaningful step:

I have a tool that will help you figure out where you are right now—so the next set of Vault resources can be tailored to your goals and your stage of progress:

Once you’ve submitted your next set of personalized resources will be on its way to you.

Be sure to add hi@thelongevityvault.com & thelongevityvault@substack.com to your contacts or safe-sender list—so your upcoming resources arrive smoothly in your inbox.

You’re in the Right Place

You’ve already done the hardest part: deciding to understand, not just add.

Every framework and tool in The Longevity Vault builds from that principle—trace your outcomes back to your biology, not a universal checklist.

I’m glad you’re here.

Warmly,
Kat Fu, M.S., M.S.
